Siddharth Kara is a renowned author, researcher, activist, and expert on modern slavery. As an adjunct lecturer at Harvard Kennedy School of Government and a Visiting Scientist at the Harvard School of Public Health, Kara has authored three acclaimed books on the subject. His book, Sex Trafficking, won the prestigious Frederick Douglass book prize and was adapted into the film Trafficked.

Over two decades, Kara has traveled to more than 50 countries to document thousands of slavery cases and advise UN agencies and governments on anti-slavery policies. With a background in investment banking and degrees from Duke University, Columbia University, and an English Law degree, Kara continues to contribute to the fight against modern slavery through research, writing, and activism.
