Lex Fridman is a Russian-American computer scientist and AI researcher at MIT. He’s also the host of the Lex Fridman Podcast, which delves into topics ranging from AI to philosophy and has featured guests like Elon Musk, Kanye West, and Magnus Carlsen.
Born in Chkalovsk, Tajikistan, Fridman’s family moved to Chicago when he was 11. He later earned a PhD in electrical and computer engineering from Drexel University. His professional path began at Google, focusing on machine learning, and he later transitioned to a research role at MIT after a controversy involving a Tesla Autopilot study.
