Guests: Episodes with Krystal Ball

Krystal Marie Ball (born November 24, 1981) is an American political commentator, author, businesswoman, and media host. Known for her progressive views and candid approach to political analysis, Ball has gained a notable following through various media outlets, including television and digital platforms.

Ball was the Democratic Party nominee for the United States House of Representatives from Virginia’s 1st congressional district in the 2010 election. Although she lost to the incumbent, this experience helped catapult her into the national spotlight and bolstered her media career.

She has co-hosted multiple popular political programs, including The Cycle on MSNBC and Rising with co-host Saagar Enjeti on The Hill’s digital platform. In May 2021, Ball and Enjeti left The Hill to start their own independent project, Breaking Points with Krystal and Saagar, which has since gained substantial traction. Additionally, Ball co-hosts the podcast Krystal Kyle & Friends with her husband, Kyle Kulinski.

Born in King George County, Virginia, Ball graduated from the University of Virginia with a degree in economics. She has since been an active voice in American politics, advocating for economic interventionist policies and championing a return to the Democratic Party’s New Deal roots. She is the author of Reversing the Apocalypse: Hijacking the Democratic Party to Save the World.

In addition to her media work, Ball is also the founder of the People’s House Project, a political action committee that supports Democratic causes. However, the operation of this PAC has sparked some controversy over financial management and allocation of funds.

In her personal life, Ball was previously married to Jonathan Dariyanani, with whom she had a child. She later married fellow political commentator and co-host Kyle Kulinski in 2023.
