At 20min’s Joe and Carlo Rovelli talk about the double split experiment of quantum physic.
Carlo Rovelli says, ”the particle only has a position when it interacts with something else”
The behavior of particles during interactions is defined by objective laws of physics.
What i am saying is just a analogy, when the particle interacts with something else, it is a relative, subjective reality/illusion
When the particle is NOT observed, it is Objective Reality
Reality Isn’t Relative, so What Makes Us Think We Must Be Three Dimensional?
”Objective knowledge, the idea of unity included, belongs to objective conscious-ness. The forms which express this knowledge when perceived by subjective {relative} conscious-ness are inevitably distorted and, instead of truth, they create more and more delusions. With objective conscious-ness it is possible to see and feel the unity of everything. But for subjective conscious-ness the world is split up into millions of separate and un-connected phenomena. Attempts to connect these phenomena into some sort of system in a scientific or a philosophical way lead to nothing because man cannot re-construct the idea of the whole starting from separate facts and they cannot divine the principles of the division of the whole without knowing the laws upon which this division is based.
None the less the idea of the unity of everything exist also in intellectual thought {relative mind} but in its exact relation to diversity it can never be clearly expressed in words or in logical forms. There remains always the insurmountable difficulty of language. A language which has been constructed through expressing impressions of plurality and diversity in subjective {relative} states of conscious-ness can never transmit with sufficient complete-ness and clarity the idea of unity which is intelligible and obvious for the objective state of conscious-ness.” – In Search of the Miraculous by P. D. Ouspensky chapter 14 pg 279 – The Teachings of G. I. Gurdjieff.
We invariably wish to establish our personal meaning for a word and to take it, always, in that sense, which is obviously impossible as one and the same word used at different times and in various ways has different meanings. The wrong use of words and the qualities of the words themselves make them unreliable instruments of an exact speech and knowledge. We need to bring our thinking closer to a precise mathematical designation of things and events to find the possibility of understanding ourselves and each other. A important principle is to make clear the relativity of every notion, not in the abstract sense that everything in the world is relative but indicating exactly in what and how it relates to the rest. – G. I. Gurdjieff.

At about 32/33 min’s Joe and Carlo Rovelli are talking about ‘time’ and how it slows down, speeds up at different times and places..
What they do not talk about is, this relative 3D existence, where everything appears separate and in ‘CONSTANT’ change, and bookended by the birth/death cycles, can NEVER come to a conclusion. Being relative AND circular, it just keeps going around and around changing, what we call, historical history.
Historical history or ages + current history are broad disciplines encompassing many time periods. Some focus on specific time periods, such as ancient history, while others concentrate on shorter time periods, Such as, AD as opposed to BC
“Time is basically an illusion created by the mind to aid in our sense of temporal presence in the vast ocean of space. Without the neurons to create a virtual perception of the past and the future based on all our experiences, there is no actual existence of the past and the future. All that there is, is the present.” – Abhijit Naskar, author of “Love, God & Neurons: Memoir of a scientist who found himself by getting lost.”
“People like us who believe in physics know that the distinction between past, present, and future is only a stubbornly persistent illusion.” – Albert Einstein
Buddhist analogy: “Time is like a necklace of square beads of tangible objects, or moments or events and to be absorbed by this succession of limited frames is “maya” or “illusion”, whereas only the inner thread of the necklace, the un-imaginable continuum, is Reality”
”I regard conscious-ness as funda-mental. I regard matter as derivative from conscious-ness. We can not get behind conscious-ness. Everything we talk about, everything that we regard as existing, postulates conscious-ness.” – Max Plank.
Max Planck length, an infinitesimally small unit of measurement equal to 1.618 x 10 to the 35th meters. If the triangles placed in a circle are each on the scale of a Planck length— would that not be a more perfect ”Pi”? Circles do not really exist.
”We have got use to localizing the conscious ‘person’ality in-side a person’s head. Yet, the conscious mind itself remains a stranger with-in that construct, it has no living space in it, you can spot it no-where in space. We have entirely taken to thinking of the ‘person’ality of a human being as located in the interior of a body. It is very difficult for us to take stock of the fact that the localization of the ‘person’ality, of the conscious mind, in-side a body is only symbolic, just an aid for practical use.” – Erwin Schrödinger
Straw-man i.e our personal pronoun, ” I ” = The fictitious legal entity called “a Person”
ego = The “I” or self of any person (ego is Latin for “I”)
“Sages return consciousness to mind;
Fools turn mind into consciousness.”
”The real being, with no status, is always going in and out through the doors of your face. If you want to be free, get to know your Original Self. It has no form, no appearance, no root, no basis, no abode, but is lively and buoyant. It responds with versatile facility, but its function cannot be located. Therefore when you look for Self {in the material body} you become further from Self, when you seek Self {in the material body} you turn away from Self all the more. – Chan Master Lin Chi Yi-Sen {Tang dynasty (618-907)
Around 1:17 min’s or so, Joe and Carlo Rovell are talking about a safer world. What they do not understand is the world can only be ”relatively” safer. It will never be absolutely safer. There will always be conflict in various forms.
One may argue against what i am saying, but, then, one does not understand the nature of our relative existence. It MUST have continual resistance, in one form or another, in order to grow.
How do human beings learn? We start out ignorant and our ignorance is a form of resistance. We struggle to walk, to talk. In short to learn how to work our new body. And our body only works when we exercise it. The muscles need resistance to grow strong.
And the same goes for the mind. It can not learn without overcoming its inherent ignorance. The mind needs exercise just as the body does.
The problem is, ”exercise” turns into conflict, the biggest of which, is War vs Peace. Right vs wrong. Good vs bad. Strong vs weak. Selfishness vs charity. The list of oppositions goes on and on. Because the nature of relativity is continual change via the birth/death cycles.
So, one may ask, how do i resolve this conflict in me? By the choices we make.
A Grandfather was telling his grandson about the battle the old man was waging within himself. He said, “It is between two wolves, my son. One is an evil wolf: anger, envy, sorrow, greed, self-pity, guilt, resentment, lies, false pride, superiority and ego. The other is the good wolf: joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion and faith.”
The boy took this in for a few minutes and then asked his grandfather, “Which wolf won?” The old Cherokee replied simply, “The one I feed.”
As Grandfather once said, “the future does not exist, for there are only possible and probable futures. It is the choices we make now that determine which possible future unfolds into the probable future”.
In the same context as the future, we do not have a per-determined destiny, a master plan for our lives, because the Creator has given all of us a choice. Therefore, by making the right choices now we can positively effect our probable destiny.
