Weinstein seems oblivious to the fact that he is presupposing the presence of an intelligent information layer in living things without realizing that he needs to explain the source of this intelligent information layer. Claiming that the “missing layer” is Darwinian is astonishingly lame and misguided…Darwinism is a theory of survival (reproductive advantage) not arrival (i.e., origin of new body plans)….he is bestowing “agency” on the notion of evolution…natural selection has no foresight, it is totally reactive ….it selects, it does not create anything!
